Composition- How you arrange the objects in your scene to make it look amazing. We want things to work together that really pop.
The Rule of Thirds
This is the most common rule of composition. To use the rule of thirds cut your image into thirds. You want to put the subjects eye on the intersection where the vertical and horizontal lines meet, there are 4 of these sweet spots.
For people and animals you want to have them on the vertical lines, there are two vertical lines. For people and animals they need more space in front of them in the direction they are looking.
Don't cut off parts of the subjects head unless it is an extreme close up shot. It's more ok to cut off the hair than the mouth of a person because it isn't right to not see the mouth moving of the person who is speaking.

With the horizontal lines for aligning our horizon. Subject takes up the majority of space.
